I met John while horse camping in Southern Illinois. While at the time, he was dealing with some significant health issues, his warmth and welcoming nature was so strong.
The inspirational stories of things he's done in his life, I could listen to him all day. But true to John, he wanted to know about you, your life. While talking to him he made you feel like you were the only one around, even though we were at a campground. I can only imagine what a phemoninal doctor he was!
A few years later, we met him & Paula (an equally dear soul) at their home in FL. Again, the loving and genuine nature of John shone through.
Heaven has gained a real gem of a man, but he will be very missed here on earth.
