Like my brother Eric, I have great memories of going down to Gene and Betty’s house to visit and play basketball with Tim and Larry…. Gene was always kind to us kids…. Gene and Betty always welcomed us hanging around their house…. Our mother would always get our birthday cakes from Betty…. Better birthday cakes I’ve never had…. I have nothing but fond memories of the time spent at their house and talking with Gene…. Gene was one of the best men, I ever had the good fortune to meet…. My thoughts and prayers go out to Betty, Larry, Tim and the rest of the Wagoner family….

I am so Very Sorry for your Loss. I spent a lot of time at Betty and Gene's house when I was growing up. I have never met a finer man than Gene. I am so grateful to have known the entire Wagoner family. Betty's Birthday cakes are still the best I have ever had. My thoughts and Prayers are with all of you, and may God Bless you all.

Kevin and I love Gene and Betty Wagoner. As a couple they are exemplary role models of a loving marriage faith in God, and support of all their family members. Oh how we will miss his banter at church. He always spoke to everyone, and had a witty comment or two . He and I talked tomatoes. Gene was a very friendly man and loving husband/father. We will miss joking with him. He really liked to kid around!! He and Betty were super role models for all of us in their marriage and partnership. FCC will miss him for all the love he showed to the church. We are sorry for his passing and the sorrow this has brought to his family. May God hold you all very close during this time of sadness. He is at peace.

I will miss him saying "Hi trouble" and giving me a hug with a joke!! Will miss him making faces and putting a smile on our faces!! I'm so glad my boys had a chance to know him. I feel very blessed I was able to visit with you several times by being closer to you and Betty. I hope he had a joyous reunion with all his loved ones. What a beautiful sight that must of been.

Gene and Betty were a beautiful and loving couple. We loved talking to them at church. His favorite phrase after greeting us was "so glad you got to see me". He was a blessing to all of us at First Christian Church and he will certainly be missed. May God hold his family close at this sad time.

I have so many memories of my brother Gene it’s hard to know where to begin. I loved my big brother. The one memory that stands out is when we suspected he had a girlfriend. He started dressing up in the evening when he went out for the evening, that girlfriend turned out to be Betty. The best part of his life was happening before our eyes and also the Wagoner family, Betty was a jewel in the crown of the family. Mom and Dad loved her, she made Gene happy!
