Obituary of Miriam Jean Wagoner

Bedford – Miriam Jean Wagoner, 90, of Bedford, passed away at 8:10 am on Monday, January 23, 2023, at Westview Nursing and Rehab. Center. Born March 22, 1932, in Petersburg, IN, she was the daughter of Luther McKinley and Georgia Mace (Naney) White. She married Charles Victor Wagoner on April 7, 1950. She had been a clerk at JC Penney Department Store and was a homemaker. She was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion. She enjoyed sewing, baking and cooking. Survivors include six children, Carol Jean Wagoner Robbins, Charles David Wagoner, Howard Edwin Wagoner, Woodrow G. Wagoner, Elizabeth Mace Wagoner Moren, Rose Marilyn Wagoner; grandchildren, Angela Marie, Daniel Curtis, Charles Evan, Jeffrey David, Scott Hamilton, Eric Matthew, Laura Ellen Williams, Aaron Woodrow, Katelin Dianne, Mariah Elizabeth, Robert McKinnley Rice, Micah William Rice, Joshua David Rollins, Alexandria Rose Batchelor, Jessica Leigh Batchelor, Victoria Lynn Batchelor; great-grandchildren, Katie, Olivia, Audrey, Gavin, Abigail, Theodore Rex, Adelin Macy Williams, Eloise June Williams, Riley Marie, Caleb Lucas, Maverick Mace, Theodore, Cody, Caylynn, Kenzie and Kipton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers, Luther Maurice, Charles William, Edwin Ray, Richard Vernon, James Paul, Ronald Wayne, Donald Blaine, Harold Marvin and Robert White; a sister, Marilyn Sue White. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 28th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Nathanael Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Wagoner Cemetery in Silverville. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, January 27th and from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Saturday, January 28th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
