Obituary of Jack Allen Logsdon
Bedford Jack Allen Logsdon, 75, of Bedford, died at 12:45 pm on Friday, June 27, 2014 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born August 30 1938 in LaRue County, KY, he was the son of Leslie and Lelia (Kirkman) Logsdon. He married Marilyn Bunch on September 28, 1959 and she survives. He was owner of Logsdon & Son, Inc. and as a contractor for NWSC Crane, he won a national award for his business (Small Business Administrations Region V Contractor of the Year) in 2014. He formerly served on the Board of Directors for the Limestone Girls Club and coached several sports events at the Bedford Boys & Girls Club. He enjoyed being outdoors working, hunting and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn of Bedford; children, Lynn Gard and husband, Mark, of Indianapolis, Lydia Weber and husband, Paul, of Bedford, Lorrain Fluhr and husband, Ed, of Brownsburg, Thomas L. Logsdon of Bedford, Lana Swanson and husband, Jim, of Peru; grandchildren, Elizabeth Weber, Emily Weber, Alyssa Cullen, Lilly Swanson, Jacquelyn Swanson, Robert Fluhr and William Fluhr; two great grandchildren, Maiya and Jacob Cullen; a brother, Marvin Logsdon of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Clyde, Roger, Bill and Jimmy; four sisters, Virginia Locke, Mary Locke, Doris Grimes and Betty Gray. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 1st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, June 30th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
