Franco Webb posted a condolence

There is so much to say...Dad was a man of integrity, grit, honor, personality, just to name a few. The first time we met in the orphanage in Germany was because of my sister. He and Mom came to adopt a girl, and Fina persuaded(demanded) them to do a 2 for 1 special. I made Dad laugh and eventually Fina and I left with our new parents. Dad taught me from a very young age to stand up, be a man, and always fight for all Americans. The fun we had working on cars, fishing in Panama, hunting, building things together(usually because I took them apart) and running together. I will miss you sorely Dad. I love you.

I had the distinct honor of marrying LT.Col.Russ Webb’s beautiful daughter in November of ‘92. I was SO smitten. When I met this quiet, humble Warrior i was really impressed by his intelligence and wisdom. I’ve been married to Fina for 29 years, and due to my disease of addiction many of those years were hard. Russ was very patient. When I asked him a few years ago if I could remarriy his daughter, he said he couldn’t give me his approval because I had hurt his daughter. I promised him I had definitely changed. The last time he took me to the range to fire his weapons in November he told me that I had changed his mind and I had his approval. Rest Easy Airborne Ranger.

To one the greatest men I have ever known. You led by example, taught with quiet confidence, and chose me to be your daughter many moons ago in that orphanage in Germany. I was blessed to have you as a father, mentor, and friend. Things just won’t be the same.

So sorry to hear of Russell's death.
I met Russell & Janie in a professional office where i worked. I always enjoyed speaking with them. They were true Americans, and I very much appreciate his military service and sacrifice to keep us free.
Prayers for all the family & hugs to Marsha & Becky.
