Obituary of Alan D. Lee

Bedford – Alan D. Lee, 56, of Bedford, passed away at 12:23 am on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Bell Trace Rehab. Center in Bloomington surrounded by his loved ones. Born October 26, 1964, in Bedford, he was the son of Billie J. and Brenda (Short) Lee. He married Chelsea Tipton on October 13, 2017, and she survives. He loved fishing and spending time with family and friends, especially his five grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Chelsea of Bedford; three children, Michael (Dezza) Lee and T.J. (Kaleigh) Lee, all of Bedford and Emily Rose Lee and fiancé, Cristhian Dob, of SC; two step children, J.R. Tipton and Abby Tipton; five grandchildren, Brogan, Bryant, Brenlyn, Hadley and Harper Lee; two brothers, Troy (Vicki) Lee and Morgan W. (Rachael) Lee, all of Bedford; his mother, Brenda S. Lee, of Bedford; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. He was preceded in death by his dad, Billie J. Lee; his paternal grandparents, John and Elizabeth Lee; his maternal grandparents, Morris and Gladieth Short, and his uncle, Bobbie Lee. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 15th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Danny Goens and Bro. Mike Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinhook Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Friday, October 15th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Pallbearers are: Kevin Brown, Austin Lee, Eli Lee, David Lee, Mark Lee and Cole Ellison. Honorary pallbearers are: Tony Voorhies, Chris Terrell, and Greg Tuggle.
