Obituary of Karen Rae Lee

Bedford Karen Rae Lee, 56, of Bedford, died at 10:00 pm on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at her residence. Born January 1, 1952, she was the daughter of Morris and Mary (Brazzell) Lee. She married Reese Hightshue and he preceded her in death in March of 2003. She was retired from the Indiana Department of Corrections and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving as a Sergeant. Survivors include her mother, Mary Lee of Bedford; one daughter, Shannon Johnson; three grandchildren; two sisters, Lori Lee and Susan Massette both of Bedford; two brothers, Kurt and Alan Lee both of Bedford; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and husband. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 15th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Sister Joan Luerman officiating. Cremation will follow. No calling hours are scheduled. Donations Information The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the White River Humane Society.
