When I talked to Bill he was always upbeat and thinking of the future and had a goal of why he had to live longer and beat the odds. I worked with him in the Red Cross and with Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services and he was a model of resiliency. After the fire he was determined to stay alive and well long enough to rebuild a house and make sure his wife was safe again. The last time we talked he said his goal now was to live long enough that all his grandchildren might remember him. They were so dear to him. How could anyone who met Bill not remember him. He was an inspiration. Teena Ligman
