Obituary of John David Leahy

Bedford John David Leahy, 62, of 289 White Lane, Bedford, died at 5:06 pm on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford. Born April 13, 1949 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Herschel and Elizabeth (Sipes) Leahy. He married Kimberly Stailey on April 4, 1992 and she survives. He was a custodian for the North Lawrence School System and the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Leahy of Bedford; three children, Bethaney Leahy of Seymour, Matthew Leahy and Sarah Leahy both of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and two sisters. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, May 11th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Wednesday, May 11th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
