Obituary of Esther Madding

Bedford-Esther Madding, 85, of Bedford passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Garden Villa in Bloomington. Born December 7, 1934 in Knox County, KY she was the daughter of William and Bertha (Peach) VanLue. She married Eldon Madding on October 7, 1955 and he preceded her in death on August 12, 2019. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bedford. Survivors include her three children: Jeffrey Madding and his wife Anita of Bedford, Kenneth Madding of Bloomington, Pamela Funk and her husband Scott of Atlanta, GA.; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two sister-in-laws. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters, Myrtle Berry, Garnett VanLue, Wilma Schoonover, and Belva Phegly; seven brothers: Paul, Tony, Lyndon, Clifford, Noble, Chester, and Roy Joe VanLue. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 4th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Entombment will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
