Obituary of Robert N. Plummer

Bedford – Robert N. Plummer, 88, of Bedford, passed away at 8:45 am on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Johnson Christian Village. Born January 8, 1932 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Buel J. and Dorothy (Underwood) Plummer. He married Mary Jane Smith on September 3, 1951 and she preceded him in death on November 3, 2013. He had been a tool and die maker at General Motors and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the Bartlettsville Christian Church. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Crouch and husband, Patrick, of Bedford and Karen Painter and husband, Mike, of Louisville, CO; three grandchildren, Amber Messersmith and husband, Justin, of Marion, Aaron Crouch and wife, Allie, of Bedford and Brandon Painter, of CO; three great grandchildren, Madalyn Crouch and Jack Crouch, both of Bedford and Kaebri Messersmith, Marion; three sisters, Eileen Gordon and husband, Rick, of CO, Nancy Christian and Joan Wolf and husband, Walt, all of Anderson; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, Jeffrey Lynn Plummer and a sister, Donna Beeman. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Monday, August 24th at the Bartlettsville Christian Church with Tim Day and Taylor Brown officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until the hour of service on Monday, August 24th at the church. A committal service will be conducted at 3:30 pm on Tuesday, August 25th at the Tipton Cemetery.
