Obituary of Ruth Esther Lake

Bedford Ruth Esther (Jackson) Lake, 90, a resident at the Hospitality House in Bedford, died at 2:15 pm on Friday, August 13, 2004 at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born February 22, 1914 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Elza and Bertha M. (Fish) Jackson. She married Andrew H. Lake on September 17, 1932 and he died December 17, 1982. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church in Bedford. Survivors include one daughter, Phyllis Ann Wise of Kokomo; two granddaughters; one great-granddaughter and three great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, August 17th at Green Hill Cemetery with Pat Blyeth officiating. No calling hours are scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of the Day & Carter Mortuary.
