Obituary of Rickie L. Turner

Rickie L. Turner, 68, of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2020. Born July 2, 1952 in Bedford, he was the son of Maynard J. and Juanita J. (May) Turner. He married Teresa Andis and she survives. He was a security officer for Duke Energy and a minister for over twenty years. Survivors include his wife, Teresa, of Bedford; a daughter, Jodi Sims, of Springfield, TN; grandchildren, Lynnsie Greenan and husband, Pat, Danae Godsey, Terry Godsey and wife, Bethany, Kyla Sims, and Braden Sims; great grandchildren, Adeline Godsey and Riggs Godsey; two sisters, Karen Y. Goen and husband, Rick, Marsha Gardner and husband, John, all of Bedford; a brother, Kenny Turner, of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Paula Godsey. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 16th at the Old Union Church with Millard Jones and Mike Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 15th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
