Obituary of James M. Hill

Bedford-James M. Hill, 87, of Bedford died at 11:31 pm on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at the Stonebridge Health Campus. Born March 18, 1933 in Lawrence County, IN he was the son of Ira and Minnie Marie (Hall) Hill. He married Evelyn Judah on May 20, 1955 and she preceded him in death on January 13, 2011. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He had worked as a truck driver for Rogers Building Supply. Survivors include his four children: Jana Reed and husband David, Carol Lane, Gay Lawton and husband Danny, Nathan Hill and wife Amy; thirteen grandchildren: Kea Reed, Josh Reed, Andrea Smith and husband Rodney, Lacey Lane, Miranda Lane, Matthew Lane, Megan Clark and husband Danny, Ben Lawton and wife Cammie, Camden Hill, Shelby Hill, Thomas Lister, Bradley Lister, Megan Lister; eighteen great grandchildren: Gabriel, Kathryn, Audrey, Ella, Kaylee, Ethan, Gracie, Jared, Joe, Logan, Jase, Kaitlyn, Landon, Isaiah, Eleanor, Lucy, Judah, Rose; two great great grandchildren: Amelia and Waylon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Minnie Marie Hill, his wife Evelyn, one great grandson, Amos Clark, a sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Harold Widick , a brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Shirley Hill, brother-in-law, Warren Judah, father and mother-in-law, Max and Olive Judah. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, July 7th at the Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Tracy Killinger officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the hour of service on Tuesday, July 7th at the Calvary Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 8th at the Clover Hill Cemetery with military rites accorded by members of the American Legion Gillen Post #33.
