Ada and her sister Lucille were my first friends. We played together every day that our moms permitted. Our friendship has continued all of our lives. I loved Ada very much and am thankful that we were "forever friends"

I could share a million memories of my sister,Ada Ritter Deckard, as we grew up in our large family. We laughed together and cried together, we played and we "fussed". As we grew older, we enjoyed Florida vacations with Andy and Roger and later together with our lady friends and through it all she was there for me. Rest in peace sweet sister and save me a place at the table!

I am so saddened to hear of this sweet woman’s passing. Ada was extremely loyal and protective of her family. I’m sure she remained the glue until her last breath. For such a small stature, she was truly one the strongest women I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing.
I‘ve always enjoyed talks with Ada. If you needed advice, she gave her brutally honest opinion, whether you liked it or not.
My favorite memory of Ada was helping her with a brush pile in her field. We would load the truck up with brush and start for the pile.
As she’d climb up in the truck, she looked at me and said “put er in gear Newt” and laughed. I smile thinking about it.
To every member of Ada’s family, I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Worked with Ada at the Bedford National Bank, and worshipped with her at Donica Church. She always dressed her daughters in frilly cute dresses and I loved to see them. Worked with Ada at the Free Methodist where she volunteered helping with newsletters.
