Obituary of Virginia A. Silvers
Virginia A. Silvers, 74, passed away on May 1, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born July 19, 1945, in Pensacola, FL, she was the daughter of Neal Lloyd and Ruby Jewell Moore. Ruby then married A.J. Holder. Virginia married Thomas Silvers on October 23, 1965, and he preceded her in death on April 22, 1998. She retired from Indiana Laborers Training Institute. She was a member of the Avoca Baptist Church and the Avoca Quilting Guild.
Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia Fender of Springville, Patricia (Tim) New of Oolitic; four grandchildren, Corey (Ashley) Inman, Dustin (Kate) Fender, Brady (Kristen) New, Rose (Caleb) Fouty; two great-grandchildren, Eli and Evangeline New; and two brothers, Alan and John Holder.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband.
Private funeral services will be conducted in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Brady New officiating. Burial will follow in Dive Cemetery.
