Obituary of Michael Dale Baker

Bedford Michael Dale Baker, 59, of Bedford, passed away at 11:28 pm on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford. Born January 24, 1952 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of the late Dale Baker and Lorene (Etchison) Mitchell. He married Cathy Spires on July 8, 1995 and she survives. He retired from Otis Elevator as a welder. He was a member of the Bedford Boat and Sportsmans Club, Eagles #654 and of the Protestant faith. Survivors include his wife, Cathy of Bedford; his mother and step-father, Lorene and Robert Mitchell of Oolitic; one step-daughter, April Imhausen; three grandchildren; one brother, Pat Baker of Texas; two sisters, Anthonette (Toni) Hedge of Mitchell and Barbara Jane Hill of Bedford; two step-brothers, Gary Mitchell of Avoca and Terry Mitchell of Oolitic; two step-sisters, Diana Edwards of Oolitic and Brenda Lambrecht of Bedford; two aunts, Marcia Tolbert of Mitchell and Lucille Lynch of Williams; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 3rd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Richard Holt officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 2nd and from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Thursday, November 3rd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
