Obituary of Betty Jo Super

Bedford – Betty Jo Super, 87, of Bedford, went to be with the Lord at 6:56 pm on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital.

Born May 25, 1932, she was the daughter of Hayden and Opal (Pierce) Silvers. She married Steve Leon Super on January 17, 1948 and he preceded her in death on January 31, 2000. She had been active in the workforce, holding various jobs and had now retired. She was a member of the Cornerstone Pentecostal Church of God. Betty was a beloved mother, grandmother and sister.

Survivors include a son, Don Super, and wife, Patricia, of Vincennes; two daughters, Sheila Kern, and husband, Fred, Sandra Tincher, and husband, William, all of Bedford; eight grandchildren, Angel Head, Dinah Egbulah, Christina Root, Steve Root, Jamine Schaefer, Troy Tincher, Alissa Tincher, Leah Tincher; nineteen great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; two sisters, Diane Kinser, of Oolitic and Bobbie Duncan, of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant son, Stevie Wayne Super; a brother, Bill Silvers.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 17^th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Rodney Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Dive Cemetery.
