Obituary of Leon Dewayne Kinser
Heltonville – Leon Dewayne Kinser, 52, of Heltonville, died at 11:00 pm on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital.
Born November 7, 1966 in Marion County, he was the son of Phillip Kinser and Shirley (Kinser) Fisher. He was a maintenance and construction worker and member of U.A.W. Local 2158. He was an avid sprint car racing fan.
Survivors include a son, Jordan Kinser, of Bedford; his mother and step father, Shirley and Donnie Fisher, of Bloomington; a brother, Phillip Kinser, of Bloomington; a sister, Pamula Kinser, of Bloomington; four nephews, Steven, Josh, Robbie and Seth; one niece, Natasha; his fiancé, Regina Taylor, of Heltonville and her children, Jacy and Dylan; two uncles: Darrell Kinser of Bloomington, and Verdon Kinser of Heltonville; one aunt, Gail Sink and husband Don of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his father, Phillip Kinser and a brother, Chadley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 1st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Reno Bates officiating. Burial will follow in Meadows Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, September 30th and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Tuesday, October 1st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
