Obituary of Mildred V. Koetter
Bedford Mildred Virginia Koetter, 85, of 2024 Park Ave., Bedford, IN, died at 10:55 pm on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at the residence of her daughter.
Born December 8, 1917 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Ziba and Mamie (Nelson) Hill. She married John Potter on December 26, 1936 and he preceded her in death on December 27, 1958. She then married Irving Koetter in June of 1978 and he died in January of 1996. She retired as an office worker at the Edgewood Clinic, a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bedford and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her daughter, Gay Turner and her husband, Greg of Bedford; one step-daughter, Jean McKenzie of Tucson, AZ; one daughter-in-law, Ruthie Potter of Bedford; five grandchildren, John Potter, Mike Pottter, Kyle Foddrill, Kara Graves and Kory Foddrill; four great grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one son, Dennis Potter; one step-son, James Koetter; two sisters, Betty Sons and Carol Keithley. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend. Beautiful in body and soul. She will be missed by all her family and friends. Peace be with her now and always. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, July 25th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Alan Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 24th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
