Obituary of Laura Elizabeth Lake

Bedford – Laura Elizabeth “Beth” Lake, 72, of Bedford, died at 5:35 am on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at her residence.

Born February 6, 1947 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Dale Mynatt and Irene (Sproles) McGill. She married Forrest Clinton Lake on January 6, 1963 and he survives. She was a homemaker. She loved the Lord Jesus, and sharing her faith with many. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother and a friend to many. She always had a song in her heart. She loved to decorate and entertain. She will be greatly missed by many.

Surviving with her husband, Forrest of Bedford are their children, Clinton Lake of Bloomington, Barbara Lake of Bedford, Rebecca Lake of Bedford, Brenda Blackburn and husband, Rick of Bedford, Darla Hall and husband, Lee of Bloomington, and Brandi Teague of Bedford; six grandchildren, Tyler Lake of Bloomington, Karlo Silvetti and fiancé , Caitlin of Bedford, Hunter Blackburn and wife, Marissa of Bedford, Isabella Blackburn of Bedford, Lakelin Teague of Bedford, and Spencer Teague of Bedford; one great-grandchild, Mirabella Silvetti of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Brian (in infancy).

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Saturday, August 3^rd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the hour of service on Saturday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Cremation will follow services. Her ashes will be placed in the casket of her husband, Forrest, upon his death and they shall be buried together.  Family and friends may express condolences at www.daycarter.com.
