Obituary of Cleda Evelyn Prow

Bedford – Cleda Evelyn Hubbard Prow, 91, of Bedford, died at 6:43 pm on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at White River Lodge.

She and her twin, Cletus were born January 1, 1928. She was the daughter of George Otto and Jennie (Brim) Hubbard. She married Dwight (Javy) Prow on October 11, 1947 and he preceded her in death on July 27, 2010. She was a graduate of Oolitic High School. Her first job was at Javy’s Sandwich Shop where she met her future husband. She later worked at Grant’s, RCA, and Sterling Drug Store. Cleda was a faithful member of Apostolic Pentecost churches throughout her life.

Survivors include one son, Jerry Prow and wife, Tammy; one daughter, Sherry Prow; one granddaughter, Lisa Meadway and husband, Eric; one grandson, Jeff Prow and wife, Danielle; great-granddaughters, Chelsea Emenike and husband, Isaiah, and Maxine Prow; great-grandsons, Brandon Meadway and fiancé, Abigail Banks, and Beauxfrey Prow; great-great-granddaughter, Chai. She is also survived by a sister, Maxine; sisters-in-law, Mary Elkins, Phyllis Kinder, Vicky (Jon) Woody, and brother-in-law, Kenny Prow. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Richard Allan Prow (in infancy); grandson, Christopher Prow; sisters, Marie Turpen and Mildred Weddle; brothers, George, Wayne, Wendell Ross, Bill, and Cletus Hubbard.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Friday, July 12^th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Eric Meadway officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Friday, July 12^th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
