Obituary of Mary Catherine Cox Ball

Mary Catherine Cox Ball, 81, of Bedford, died at 1:08 am on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Westview Nursing and Rehab Center.

Born February 2, 1938 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Joseph E. and Nina (Jones) Schultz.  She first married Carl Cox he preceded her in death, she then married Dean Ball, and he preceded her in death.  She worked as a waitress, and later worked for RCA and Columbia House. She attended the Medora Wesleyan Church.

Survivors include four daughters: Cathy Mitchell of Brownstown, Sherry Hall and husband Preston of Medora, Carlotta Cox of Bedford, and Toni Cox of Brownstown; 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; three sisters: Karen Archer, Sandy Williams, and Jennifer Hendricks; two brothers: Ronnie Staggs and Lanny Staggs.  She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one sister, Barbara Webb, and four brothers: Bill Schultz, Jack Schultz, Roger Schultz, and Mike Staggs. 

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, June 26^th, 2019 at the Beech Grove Cemetery with Pastor Clarence Breeden officiating.  Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
