Obituary of Timothy M. McGill
Bedford - Timothy M. McGill, 63 of Bedford Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 22 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born and raised in Seymour, Indiana by his loving parents, George and Dorothy McGill. He graduated from Seymour High School and attended Ivy Tech Community College. Since 1987, he was employed by W. F. Meyers Diamond Tools and Machinery in Bedford. A talented and gifted draftsman and designer, he drew a machine that made all the exterior stone panels for Yankee Stadium, all Cadillac dealerships and Toyota’s U.S. headquarters. His tools and machines played a vital role in providing the right finish on stone that was ultimately used in countless construction projects on college campuses, government buildings and private residences.
Tim was an avid fan of I.U. basketball, the Indianapolis Colts and auto racing. He also loved motorcycles and a good game of Euchre.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dan McGill. He is survived by his cousins Linda Buckner, Ric Wilcox and Jan Vermillion, all of Indianapolis and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 27th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Deacon Dave Reising officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the hour of service on Wednesday, March 27 at the Day & Carter Mortuary, 1133 Lincoln Avenue in Bedford.
