Obituary of Daniel Ratkovich

Mitchell – Daniel Ratkovich, 89, of Mitchell, died at 5:35 pm on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.

Born December 23, 1929 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Matt and Mary (Morris) Ratkovich. He married Mary Levena Martindale on July 30, 1955 and she preceded him in death on January 4, 2018. He retired from Indiana Limestone Co. in Oolitic as a fork truck driver.

Survivors include three children, Ricky Ratkovich and wife, Janice, of Mitchell, Michael Ratkovich and wife, Traci and Tina McPike and husband, Robert, all of Bedford; five grandchildren; several great grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; several step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, eight brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Thursday, March 21^st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Marty Speer officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday, March 21^st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
