Obituary of Janice Elaine Ridgway

Jan went to Heaven on Monday, February 25, 2019 from the Meadowood Health Pavilion in Bloomington. Jan was the first child born to Roy C. and Barbara E. (Meadows) Maddox. She was the devoted wife of George S. Ridgway and was blessed by his daughters, Carmen Ridgway and Susan Brooks, and grandson, Colton Brooks. Jan was sister to Wallace (Letitia) Maddox and Gregory (Bea) Maddox. Through the gift of adoption, she was also sister to her only child, Kimberly (Kevin) Patton. She was Mimi to Ashley (Mike) Jackson and their children, Elaina and Nolan.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents Cletus & Lessie (Hardin) Maddox and Morrel & Marjorie (Peel) Meadows and many special pets. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2nd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Heather Ritter officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Graveside service to be held for the family at The Ferguson Cemetery immediately following the funeral.
