I was so sorry to hear of Sherri's passing. It's hard to believe. She was always there at the baitshop, or a game, or allowing me to share a ride to or from a basketball or football practice. Some of my fondness memories of Sherry and I growing up together down on the river at the Hotel. Uncle Bill taking us for rides in his jeep. Playing the juke box, drinking soda’s and eating ice cream at the hotel. Aunt Bernadine and Aunt Betty taking us to church. Chasing Bobby, when he was little, down the railroad track. Dear Amstutz family,
I would like to send our condolences from my family past and present of Jasper Long, Velma Long, Joe Long, Brenda Long, Donald Long and myself Matthew Banks or you may have known me as “Red” as Sherri, Chris, Abe, Amy and Gary use to call me. I know that all of us are sadden from the heavens all the way to here on earth of the unfortunate passing of Sherri. She was always kind and nice to us. Always welcoming us and made us feel like family for the time that my grandparents of Jasper and Velma have lived in Williams. Sherri was much respected throughout Williams and always had a smile on her face. I loved helping her in the bait shop when I was a kid. Sherri would always y’all about her children with such a huge smile that only a caring mother would know about and it was always special to sit there and listen to her ramble on about her great grand children. That was really special. I will always cherish the Amstutz family.
