I express my sincere condolences to the Elliot Family. I remember Judy very well. Because of Judy (and her family's generosity), The Indiana and Massachuetts Glovers spent countless hours swimming in their pool during many summer visits to Bedford. Thank You Judy Eliot for being such a kind and giving soul. You will be missed by so many.

Dear Elliott family,
I don't know where to start. Judy was such a special person. We worked together in CYF for years, in 20th Century Sunday School Class, in anything FCC was doing. Her enthusiasm and willingness to tackle any obstacle were lessons for us all to follow. We had such great times - baseball games in Cincinnati with the church bus, a trip to St. Louis to see the Cardinals and worship in Forest Park, swimming parties for the kids (and Sunday School class), tennis lessons for Jeff, I could go on and on but you all know these things better than I. Just want you to know how much I loved and respected your mother (and dad, too). My heart cries for my old friend but I know she's with Dave now which is where she always wanted to be.
Love to you all from your old friend, Joann (Phipps) Teresi

Brian, Laura, Jenny, Cindy, and spouses- I am so very sorry. Judy was a remarkable woman in so many ways. I feel so fortunate to have known her my entire life and always enjoyed seeing and learning from her. Childhood memories include many years of swim team gatherings that were such fun. I am so grateful that Judy recently organized a swim team reunion which brought many people together to reminisce about the "good ole days at Otis Park Pool". As an adult, she empowered younger women to get involved and make a difference in our community and to ALWAYS stay physically active. In fact, she joined us just this past spring at a Habitat for Humanity construction site to cheer us on for the cause. Judy and Dave were wonderful employers to my husband, Larry. They treated Larry as family and impacted his life in many ways. I am also thankful that our parents were good friends and that friendship has spread to our generation. Judy's legacy will continue to shine for many generations. May peace be with all of you. Love, Fran

It will be hard to imagine Bedford without Judy Elliott in it. The community's grief doesn't compare to that of her family, but our community will feel the loss of such an incredible, smart, strong, giving, mentoring, encouraging and loving wife, mother and leader. Her impact and legacy will long outlive those of us who knew her and had the opportunity to learn from her. Judy not only made you want to be a better person, but she encouraged and expected you to be. She embodied "to whom much is given, much is required" and believed that we all, in some way, were blessed with much and, therefore, should give much of ourselves to others. To have a conversation with Judy was an adventure and learning experience rolled into one. To say she will be missed is an understatement, however, I am so thankful for the legacy she left in our community and in her children. Thank you, Brian, Laura, Jenny and Cindy for sharing your mom (and your dad) with us.
