Obituary of Dorval Tincher

Bedford – Dorval Tincher, 94, of Bedford, died at 4:28 pm on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital.

Born November 29, 1923 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Clarence and Bessie (King) Jackson. She married Leonard William Tincher on August 28, 1959 and he preceded her in death on May 2, 2005. She retired from M. Fine & Sons in 1974 and was a member of the Faith Mission Church.

Survivors include a step-son, Marion Tincher, of Avoca; a sister, Viola Medlock, of Bedford; two brothers, Charles Jackson, of Bedford and Kenneth Jackson, of Leighton, AL; eleven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three step-sons, Chester, Larry and Ronald Tincher; a sister, Ada Lorene “Jackie” Griffin; a brother, Charles Jackson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 14^th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Stephen Height officiating. Burial will follow in the Avoca Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Wednesday, at the mortuary.
