I remember 1st meeting Ray at his Flower Shop on I Street and then followed by seeing he and his wife Ginny at the Free Methodist Church when we 1st moved here in 1980 or 81. Rays shop was Beautiful and he was such an outgoing person with flower skills that brought people back! After his Retirement I got to see him in town with other men talking & laughing and enjoying himself. Ginny retired then they were inseparable and Smiles galore and always happy to bid hello! Oh how I’m missing he & Ginny already, I sometimes look for them at McDonalds only to stop being reminded he is in Heaven now.

My heart goes out to Ginny, Cindy and the family. I had the privilege of working for Ray at the flower shop right after high school. This was during the blizzard of 1978 and we made it through. Ray's kindness to me and to my family continued throughout all of these years. Praying for peace and comfort for this wonderful family.

Heaven has gained a very special man! Ginny, Ray loved you SO much. Cindy, he was so proud of you and knew he could always count on you. He always spoke of you with love. To all of his grandkids and great grandkids, you brought him so much joy. You made his heart full. I know these things from our many conversations. I am so sorry for the loss you all are feeling. Ray had many friends that are ready and willing to help you through these dark hours and days to come. Those who knew him loved him and I hope you all can take some comfort in this.
And now to my special friend, Ray. I miss you. I will miss you at Captain D’s, I miss hearing my parents tell me daily how you are doing, I will miss talking to you about your varied life experiences, I will miss seeing you look at Ginny with heartfelt love, helping her get around,waiting on her at every turn even though you might not feel like it (but you did it without reservation out of love and concern), I will miss seeing you joke around with other friends and your joy of socializing. I miss you my friend and have SO enjoyed you being a part of my life! Rest now and be joyous and we will keep you with us in our hearts!
