I was so sorry to hear about your loss. I loved sitting next to Vicki at Amelia's performances and hearing how proud she was! She was always one of the first to say hello and give me a hug and I am so thankful she and I had time to sit and chat after the recital in August. Vicki was proud of each of her kids and grandkids and I will certainly miss our conversations.

I am sad to here of the passing of your mom Wendy. I had the pleasure of knowing this kind and gentle woman while working at Bloomington Hospital. I transported patients to the EEG department quite a bit and also had one myself. I send you my love Wendy and my husband sends his condolences to Wes whom he worked with in the kitchen.

I remember when I was about 5 years old and Vicki was about 18, she took me for a ride in her car up Old 37 toward Bloomington, and it was so much fun. I have never been able to put my finger on exactly what seemed so magical to me about that day, but it was a perfect day at the beginning of the Summer, and going for a ride with a teenager seemed equal parts exciting, scary, and cool. I remember feeling so *included*. As I have reflected on that day from time to time throughout the years, that event came to epitomize, for me, youth and free spirit and having fun. She was young and full of hope, energy and optimism that day - with her whole life ahead of her - and I remember, even as a 5 year old, thinking I wanted to be like that one day. I am very grateful she gave me that experience. I am also grateful that I worked the election polls a few years ago, and she was working the same polls for another candidate. We got to spend several hours talking, enduring that cold rainy day together. I had no idea that would be the last conversation I ever had with her, and I am so glad we got that chance to catch up.

I have many beautiful memories of Vicky. Not long ago, I stopped by her home and we reminisced about our kids. Wes & Jarad, Wendy & Whitney were inseparable while growing up at Needmore Elementary. We shared stories and laughed for quite a while at all the pranks, mischief etc.,

Vicki was always so supportive of her family, but she was also a great cheerleader for friends. I am her daughter’s best friend, and she supported me with encouragement and compliments on a regular basis. It was not unusual for me to suddenly see 45 or so social media notifications, all of which were Vicki “liking” and leaving kind compliments on all my recent postings. Also, she always laughed at my jokes. I will miss her and the love she shared. Luckily, her love and kindness live on in her family with whom I get to spend a great deal of time. ❤️
