It has been 5 years since I worked at McDonalds and saw Jerry regularly in the mornings getting his coffee. A complete stranger, but he was always so kind as well as encouraging me pursue my education and find something I loved to do. His compassion for others I will always remember.

Jerry was a "do what you sign up for" kind of guy. Best euchre player I've ever known. Uncle Everett & Uncle Mike right up there with him. My last encounter with him was a fist bump at my grandma's birthday. I will hold that fist bump close the rest of my life. Bye uncle Jerry, it was awesome to be part of your life & more awesome for you to be part of mine. I don't have 1 Thanksgiving memory without you in it.

Prayers to the Nikirk family.
I will always remember the fun times we had together. Jerry was a wonderful Sunday School teacher. I will never forget when Jerry told me the greatest compliment he had ever received from someone. When he worked at RCA, an atheist came up to him and said, “Jerry, if anyone has almost ever made me believe in God, it was you”. Jerry, replied “Chuck, what did I ever say to you, to make you almost believe?” Chuck said, “Not a word, Jerry. It’s the life that you live”.
That was Jerry. He lived that life. And now he has earned his reward. Many jewels in his crown, today! Love you all!
