Obituary of William M. Johnson

Bedford – William M. Johnson, 51, of Bedford, died Sunday, August 5, 2018.

Born July 22, 1967 in Bedford, he was the son of William C. Johnson and Frances Iris “Sue” Johnson. He married Judy Morrow and she survives. He was a former jail commander with the Sherriff’s Department. Bill had been an avid hunter from a very early age. He enjoyed both watching and participating in drag racing at Beanblossom and New Hope racetracks.

Survivors include his wife, Judy, of Bedford; his father, William C. Johnson, of Gosport; a son, William Michael Johnson, Jr., of Bedford; a sister, Jetta Dunsford and husband, Steve, of Floyds Knobs; two nephews, Jack and Sam Dunsford. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 9^th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Harold Morrow officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 8^th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
