Carl E. Waggoner

September 22, 1939 – May 18, 2018

Bedford- Carl E. Waggoner, 78, of Springville, died at 11:20 am, on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Golden Living Center in Bloomington.

Born September 22, 1939, in Martin County, he was the son of Ralph and Flossie (Rush) Waggoner.  He was a retired carpenter.  He married Shirley Parker on September 19, 1958 and she preceded him in death on August 21, 2016.

Survivors include his children; Terry Waggoner and wife Shawn, Carla Payton, and Chris Waggoner and wife Jami; nine grandchildren, Byron Waggoner, Evett Waggoner, Andrew Waggoner, Aaron Waggoner, Tevin Payton, Shelby England, Kali Payton, Randa Payton, and Gracie Waggoner; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two brothers.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three brothers, and a granddaughter in infancy.

Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, May 22^nd at Lowder Cemetery with Pastor Bob Phillips officiating.  Burial will follow at Lowder Cemetery.  Carl’s wish was to have no visitation.  Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America through Day & Carter Mortuary or at www.alzfdn.org.
