Obituary of William C Addis

Rev. William C. Addis, 92 of Millry. AL passed from this life Thursday, May 10, 2018 at his residence in Millry, AL. He was born in Superior, OH on Wednesday, March 3, 1926 to Benjamin and Meda Cron Addis. Rev. Addis served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a veteran of World War II and after being severely wounded in action he was awarded the Purple Heart Medal. He was well known all over the United States for his many years of dedication to the ministry as an Evangelist. He was a faithful member of Tabernacle Holiness Church. Rev. Addis is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Phyllis Addis; mother, Meda Cron Addis; father, Benjamin Franklin Addis; infant son; 2 brothers, Barton Addis, George L. Addis. Rev. Addis is survived by many close friends and a loving community that he has become to know and love as his own family. Visitation for Rev. Addis will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Monday, May 14, 2018 at Sandridge Church of God, 2679 Britton Lige Road, Millry, AL 36558. Funral Services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Sandridge Church of God in Millry, AL with Rev. Larry Daugherty, Rev. I.D. Sullivan, and Rev. Lynn Head officiating. A second visitation for Rev. Addis will be held from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Shady Springs Pentecostal Camp, 12389 W. U.S. Hwy. 50, Norman, IN 47264. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Shady Springs Pentecostal Camp in Norman, IN with Rev. Bill Finley and Rev. Bennie Sutherland officiating.
