Obituary of Jerry L. England

Brownsburg – Jerry L. England, 71, of Brownsburg, IN, died at 8:30 pm on Monday, April 9, 2018 at his residence.

Born March 22, 1947, in Bedford, he was the son of Calvin Leon England and Mary Jewell (Roberts) Waldon. He married Patricia J. “Patti” Draus on September 23, 1966 and she survives. Jerry worked in sales for Bedford Office Supply. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Viet Nam War in Combat Infantry. He was a member of Dive Christian Church and a life-time member of the Oolitic VFW Post #1686 and D.A.V.

Survivors include his wife, Patti, of Brownsburg; a daughter, Carrie England, of Speedway; a son, Jeremy England and wife, Jennifer, of Palm Coast, FL; four grandchildren, Avery England, Maxwell England, Amaya Vaughn, Amelia England; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Mildred England.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 14^th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Johnny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Dive Cemetery with military rites accorded. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, April 13^th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
