My condolences to the family. The loss of a loved one is never easy. May our loving God continue to bless and strengthen you as you remember that his word the Bible at John 5:28, 29 says that there is going to be a resurrection. With this promise it is possible for you to see him again. The best Friend a bereaved person can have is our Creator, Jehovah God. We are encouraged at 1 Peter 5:7 to pour out our heart to him in prayer because "he cares for you." Moreover, he promises that all who do so will have their thoughts and feelings soothed by "the peace of God that surpasses all understanding." (Philippians 4:6, 7) Please allow God to help you heal by means of his Word the Bible along with the site www.jw.org that has a wealth of information about God's future promises for those asleep in death and for all who are living. May all the many wonderful memories that James your loved one provided comfort you during this most difficult time.

Allison, it was so nice to visit with you and your two aunts today.
I can only imagine how proud your dad must be of his beautiful daughter & family.....
Please know how much I loved your dad & love your mom. Ask her about the infamous X-mas party "dinner roll". That will get a good laugh...
Take comfort in the fact that you now and forever will always have a special angel looking down over you.
Lot's of love - from the Bowen family

We walk among friends and loved ones for a time, but sometimes we seem to feel like time passes us too soon. Our call to come home comes so unexpectedly and we ask "Did I do enough?", "Did I make a difference?", and "Who will care?".
Jim is missed by we that love him. He not only made a difference, he gave happiness. He did what he could: loved by we who walked with him, talked with him, laughed with him, cried with him, and lifted him through the rough times of his life. . .family and friends.
Will he be remembered? Yes. I, for one, shall always will see and remember him through younger eyes . . . cameras leading straight to the heart and soul that never miss a moment. "Did I do enough?" doesn't matter. He takes with him the treasures of life: our love and prayers, and memories of loved ones and life's happy times.
"Did I do enough?" doesn't matter because we have a Promise that our weaknesses have been taken on by Our Advocate, Jesus Christ. Jim raised his hands to Heaven, and, in his final moments, the Hands of Heaven took hold of his outstretched hands and lifted him Home. He DID enough.
Let us remember Jim's life fondly. As we grieve, let us take time to listen to the voices of Heaven. We will see him again. We will walk with him again. We will talk with him again. And the stories and love we will share again. . .how magnificent!
Thank God every morning for the life of Jim Stapp and for how we ever shall be blessed for the difference he "makes" in our lives. My friend sleeps now. How can we ever forget such a life?
Prayers, Love, and Condolences:

Damn Stapper,
I know I lost track of you since my retirement from Bowen Engineering 8 years ago but the news of your death really hit me hard. Every time I would see one of the Bowen bunch I would ask about you but I think you were hiding from me. The news of your passing reached me while I am here in Denver, otherwise I would have been at your services to try to express to your family and other friends how much you meant to me. Instead I will attempt to do it here.
Jim and I worked together for over 25 years. I was at Bowen and Jim was at Eubanks when I first met him. When he came to work at Bowen we hit it right off - same sense of humor I think. Over the next 25 years we developed a very close working and personal relationship. Whether he was working for Bowen, Harding, or one of those Ohio contractors, we always were there for each other when one of us needed help on the job.
I have many lasting memories of Jim and (to use one of Jim’s favorite expressions) to make a long story longer here are a few of them.
Jim spending days/weeks on the jobsite at Jasper WWTP helping me sort out all the change orders and almost getting our butts beat by a bat wielding laborer that had gotten fired.
Jim carrying huge rolls of plans and specs across the parking lot to work on pipe estimates or material lists at home.
Jim and I going on numerous pre-bid scouting missions and having to stop the car about every hour so Jim could get out and “burn one”.
“Catching” Jim playing golf at Clermont golf course while I was driving along Interstate 74.
Playing golf several times with Jim and his dad at the same Clermont golf course ( which he referred to as “The Club”) that is also no longer with us.
Our Friday lunch dates at Kip’s for grilled cheese, french fries and pinball, even at the times when he wasn’t working at Bowen.
I never met a guy that knew Jim who didn’t like him. He could and did relate to workers on the job site and in the office. He was great at “smoosing” the inspectors/owner’s reps. If you needed help with information or even physical work, Jim would try to help you as best he could. He would give you the shirt off his back. Fortunately that wasn’t required often. (I remember a basketball game at a superintendent’s meeting with Jim in his jeans and no shirt - not a pretty sight. :).
Even though Jim is gone (as we all must do) the memory of the happiness and pleasure that he brought to this world will exist as long as any of those of us that knew him are alive. May he rest in peace.
Luv ya man,
Mic

Our sincere condolences to Jim's family. Have not had a lot of contact with Jim since BHS, only class reunions and a few times around Bedford. I would see his mother often, such a sweet lady. Jim loved his mother and siblings dearly, always, even at our young age would never dream of doing or acting in a way that would reflect badly on his family. He was a great basketball player, true sportsman, and friend. He will be sorely missed, our prayers are with the family.

So sorry to hear of Jim passing. I knew and worked with Jim 40 years ago at Bowen Engineering. He was a great project manager. I loved working with Jim. He was a wonderful person to work with. Actually, he was a good communicator. I hated it when he left Bowen. We used to go to ball games together. He used to tell me about playing basketball for the Bedford Stars. Great guy. Will always miss Jim.
