Obituary of Betty Whitted

Avoca – Betty Whitted, 80, of Bedford, went home to be with the Lord at 10:15 am on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Westview Nursing and Rehab. in Bedford. Born June 12, 1936, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of Thomas Gilbert and Frances Ford. She married David Whitted on August 19, 1954 and he survives. She retired as an estimator from Otis Elevator and was a member of the Crossroads Church. Survivors include her husband, David, of Avoca; a daughter, Denise Whitted, of Avoca; a daughter-in-law, Linda; three grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer and Jamie; five great grandchildren, Layla, Lucy, Sammy, Ellie and Mallie; a brother, Charles Ford, of Florida; a sister, Eunice Younger, of Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Donald Jeffery and Michael David Whitted; a great granddaughter, Lillian M. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 7th at Crossroads Community Church with Pastor Ken Ransom officiating. Private committal will follow in the Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 6th at Crossroads Community Church and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Wednesday, December 7th at Crossroads Community Church.
