Obituary of Dearl David Runyan
Bedford – Dearl David “Dave” Runyan, 73, of Bedford, passed into the loving hands of God at 10:20 am on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the White River Lodge.
Surviving is his daughter, Ashley Runyan and fiancé, Chad Reynolds; step-daughter, Tracey Beasley; step-son, Trent Beasley; step-son, Troy Beasley and wife, Heather; four grandchildren, Garrett Reynolds, Clara Beasley, Zachary Johnson, and Lindsey Caruso (Johnson); two great grandchildren, Tucker, and Chesney Caruso. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Runyan (Allen); parents, Raymond Dearl and Betty “Bee” Runyan and daughters, Lisa, and Leslie Runyan.
Dave was a Vietnam veteran. He retired from NWSC Crane and went back to work at Tri-Star Engineering. He was a member of the Gillen Post #33 American Legion and the Bedford Boat and Sportsman’s Club. He loved playing golf, fishing and going to the casino. Dave loved his family and friends and he loved life. He didn’t know a stranger and was well known for his positive outlook and sense of humor.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 23rd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens where military rites will be accorded by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 22nd and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Wednesday, November 23rd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
