To all of Darren's family I offer my sincere condolences. I "talked" with Darren just a few short weeks ago when my son put him on the speaker phone so I could join their conversation. He literally had me laughing so hard just like he used to do years ago when he visited our home with our boys. Darren was always so upbeat and funny. I hope all those kind of memories are the ones you fill your days with as you struggle with your grief. There was only one Darren Spaulding and I know thoughts of him will cross my mind every once in a while and I will smile and remember his unique personality. The world will miss you, Darren.

I am overwhelmed with sadness over Darren ' s passing. I know he is in a better place, but my self can't help feeling the tremendous loss to our family. As children Leah, you were as close to me as my own sisters and Darren became a central part of many magical memories I have from our childhood. I will miss Darren and there will be a void in the family where he lived. I loved his humor. I loved his wit and intelligence. Most of all, I admired his independence and style. I only wish I could have said goodbye and until we meet again because I love you. All of you are in my prayers and I love each one of you.

Rest in peace my friend. Words can't express the void ledt with us all. To his parents, Darren would not say step, to him there was two word he used mom and dad and that's it.
