Obituary of Frances L. Potts

Bloomington – Frances L. (Manzenberger) Potts, 73, of Bloomington, died at 1:28 pm on Friday, July 1, 2016 at I.U. Hospice House in Bloomington. Born July 30, 1942, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Francis Xavier Manzenberger and Anah (Gabbert) Manzenberger Crouch. She married Gerald “Bud” Potts on September 3, 1960 and he survives. She retired as an administrator for U.S. Fish and Wildlife. She was an active member in the Bloomington First Church of God where she served as a Sunday school teacher, a vacation bible school teacher and youth group leader. She was a Girl Scout Troop leader with the Tulip Trace Council. Survivors include her husband, “Bud”, of Bloomington; daughter, Cathy Marciniak and her husband, Robert, of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Cassie Potts, of Bloomington; two grandchildren, Kimberly Marciniak, of Peoria, IL and Adam Marciniak, of San Antonio, TX; half-sister, Harriet Merry of Ellettsville, IN and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, John Manzenberger. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 9th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Dan Herron officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday, July 9th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
