Obituary of Charles R. Luttrell
Indianapolis – Charles Robert Luttrell, 86, of Indianapolis, died at 4:20 pm on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Manor Care South in Indianapolis.
Born June 18, 1929 in Summerset, KY to Louie Luttrell and Alma (Rogers) Kern. He was first married to Dorothy Jane Coulter. He then married Dorothy Smith. He first owned Luttrell’s Coal Company in Bedford and was the first company to accept credit and later owned Water Well Drilling Service in Indianapolis. He was in the United States Air Force and the Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include two daughters, Charletta J. Luttrell of Wisconsin, Dee Hughes of Indianapolis, one son, Jason Hughes of Owensburg, grandchildren, Tonya Evans, Jody Bowen, Dakota Hughes, Cason, Hughes and Camden Hughes, great grandchildren, Waylon Davis, Brandy Bowen, Qwinton Trejoe, great great grandchildren, Jaden Riley Davis and Amia Collins, Step-children, Chuck Williams, Linda Williams-Ray, Brenda Meredith and Debbie Desinmore and their children, half brothers, Lanny Luttrell, Danny Luttrell and Billy Luttrell and a half sister, Robin. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Sarge Luttrell, Morris Luttrell, Wayne Luttrell, Michael Luttrell Cotton Luttrell and Dewey Luttrell and one sister Rudene Patton.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Patton Hill Cemetery with Chuck Williams officiating. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside.
