Obituary of Michael S. Boofer

Bedford – Michael S. Boofer, 65, of Bedford, died at 8:42 am on Monday, February 08, 2016 at his residence. Born July 18, 1950, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Edward D. and Beverly M. (Bowers) Boofer. He attended Arsenal Technical School in Indianapolis for three years, then graduated from Bedford High School with the class of 1969. He had worked at General Electric and later worked for Crowder’s Pharmacy as a deliveryman. Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Boofer of Bloomington; his mother, Beverly Boofer of Bedford; two sisters, Linda Grissom and husband, Tom, of Bloomington and Christine Pickett and husband, Greg, of Bedford; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Joyce Boofer. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 11th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor David Ferry officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Brownstown. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday, February 11th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
