My condolences to the family. The loss of a loved one is hard to bear but please be reminded that God's word the bible says that there is going to be a resurrection. Acts 24:15 says there is going to be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous, and with this hope it is possible for you to see him again. We are given more hope and comfort from God's word at John 5:28,29 that says " Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out,..." Please continue to put faith in God and he will sustain you all and be your strength. May all the many wonderful memories that Gerald your loved one provided comfort you during these most difficult times.

I will always remember Gerald as a man who adored his family, was kind to my mother, and loved working his little farm. I am sorry that cancer has stolen him away and I have made a donation to the American Cancer Society in his memory.

I have only witnessed a few instances where a dear couple entered the gates of Heaven so close to each other. In every case they were true soul mates and devoted Christians. What dear people and friends and a great legacy they have left for their children and grands. They always had smiles on their faces. Godspeed dear friend!

I just found out your sad news about the passing of both your parents. They were wonderful people and my parents especially thought so much of Gerald for helping my father during cancer treatments at Indianapolis. Gerald drove them many trips there and back. He was so kind and good and thoughtful. We enjoyed many visits with your parents and Ilene enjoyed visiting with them too. They shared many good garden treats with us in their thoughtful ways. They were both truly good people! You are in our thoughts and prayers. I don't know if I can make it there on Friday for the funeral. I fell and broke a rib over Christmas vacation and am still trying to heal. My parents, Linvel and Irene Ray, will be rejoicing to have Gerald and Evelyn's company in heaven now. We are so very sorry to hear of Gerald's passing. He was a vital part of the Heltonville Area Veterans and a good friend. It was a joy to listen to Gerald recall the history of Lawrence County. We especially liked to hear him talk of the Fry & Phipps families in the 'olden days' of Needmore School and Mt Pleasant Christian Church. He was a treasure and will be greatly missed but now he will be at peace with Evelyn.
