Obituary of Ira Keith

Fayetteville Ira Keith, 83, of Fayetteville, died at 9:30 pm on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at his residence. Born April 12, 1925 in Wayne Co., KY, he was the son of Marshall and Pearlie (Kidd) Keith. He married Oreda Keith on May 21, 1947 and she survives. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Springville. He retired from Bedford North Lawrence School Corporation as a custodian at Heltonville School. Survivors include his wife, Oreda of Fayetteville; three daughters, Delorise Bunch and her husband, William H. of Williams, Dewon Poole and her husband, Ralph D. (Frog) of Orleans, Susan George and her husband, Steven E. of Bedford; one son, Dwight Keith and his wife, Rebecca A. of Fayetteville; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; one brother, Gilbert Keith of Pulaski Co., KY; four sisters, Zella Branscum, Vella Stevens and Wilma Adams all of Pulaski Co., KY, Zula Conover of Shepherdsville, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, Arvil, Cordus, Delbert, Clint, Floyd and Paul. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 4th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Donald Branscum officiating.
