Obituary of Gloria Jean Roberts

Indianapolis – Gloria Jean Roberts, 86, of Indianapolis, formerly of Bedford, died at 6:28 am on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born July 11, 1929 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of William Merle and Fern Marie (Turner) Brown. She married Lewis C. Roberts, Jr. on December 28, 1949. She was an excellent homemaker who loved her children and family. Survivors include her husband, Lewis, of Indianapolis; a daughter, Jill Heifner and husband, Ralph, of Indianapolis; a son, Lewis C. Roberts, III and wife, Cheryl, of Ft. Wayne; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Judith Tewalt. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 20th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with John Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
