To Ronnie and family
We were so very sorry to hear of Billy's passing. We know too well the feeling of losing loved ones and know you have had to bear that burden many times as well. The grace of God sees us through. Nancy is here visiting and we both just wanted you to know that you are all in our prayers. We love you cousin.

Leslie & Family - My deepest sympathy to you and your family in the loss of your Dad. Willie and my Dad, Larry, were brothers. The family came to visit us in KY often when we were children. All of us kids played games together such as "Fox and Hound" and we ran ourselves silly but had so much fun and togetherness. As adults we called each other occasionally and reminisced about those good times. Your father was a very good man, a good cousin and good friend. I know you were proud of him. I was able to come visit Billy a few years ago on my way to Illinois and I'm so grateful that we took that time to see him. May God comfort you during this difficult time.

Leslie.
As stated earlier I am so sorry for your loss. I was shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of Bill. Your Dad and I were friends for many years along with being golfing partners. I know you will miss him as will I. He was a great golfing partner and friend. We also worked the Boat Club elections together for many years. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Dearest Family of Bill Silvers:
I worked with Bill at the station from June 69 until entering the Air Force in October 1971. I can't begin to tell you how sorry I am for your loss.
Bill definitely was a kidder. He called me Chummy. He made my worst day a great one. Since he enjoyed calling me Chummy so much, I took a coffee can and created the Great Chummy Seal and gave it to Bill.
Bill was a good and decent soul. . .a pleasure to know and to call my friend. I pray that God will watch over you and that your grief will be short. I, too, will grieve deeply. I can see him at his desk reading the Times Mail and in the foreground -- setting in the studio windowsill -- the Great Chummy Seal.
Bill joins a great heritage in Heaven. God never forgets the grieving. He promises us peace and an unimaginable eternity. Bill has rejoined the love of his life and they await our calling and return.
May God bless you all and give you peace. May you be uplifted by the memory of a beautiful life and the promise that we will see each other and be together again. Death is a doorway, not the end. And guess who'll be waiting with the Lord when we go through that door!
God bless you all.
Most sincerely:
Doug Hamilton

Dear Ronnie and Family,
I was so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I listened to him every day for decades and missed him when he retired from radio. I wish I had known him better. He contributed a lot to Bedford and Lawrence County and he will be missed by many people. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. May you be blessed with memories of happier times with Bill.
