Obituary of Erma J. Burton

Bedford – Erma J. Hendricks Burton, 83, of Bedford, died peacefully at 2:36 pm on Monday, April 27, 2015 at I. U. Health Bedford Hospital. Born October 6, 1931 in Dugger, IN, she was the daughter of Ives E. and Dorval (Sipes) Hendricks. She retired as a home health caregiver and had worked for RCA and Sarkes-Tarzian in Bloomington. Erma was a loving caring mother to her five children and her grandchildren. She loved her flower garden and sewing for her family. Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Hoshaw and husband, Bud, of Florida, Debbie Burton of Bedford and Alice Herrington and husband, Gary, of Bradenton, FL; two sons, Thomas and William Burton both of Bedford; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Bill Hendricks; three sisters, Zella Campbell, Donna Moore and Maxine Hendricks. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 2nd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary.
