Obituary of Herbert H. Jones

Bedford Herbert H. Jones, Sr., 78, of Bedford, died at 8:50 pm on Monday, November 23, 2009 at his residence. Born March 28, 1931 in Fayetteville, NC, he was the son of Norvin Alexander and Vera May (Cooper) Jones. He was a painter. Survivors include four sons, Raymond Sexton and wife, Donna, Herbert Jones, Jr. and wife, Christina all of Bedford, Rubin Jones and wife, Sharon of Goodlettsville, TN and Tommy Jones and wife, Mary of Springville; one daughter, Barbara Mundy and husband, Graydon of Bedford; seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; two step-sisters; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Alex and Ervin Jones; one great grandson, Britain Holt Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 27th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Curtis Pruett and Becky Ryan officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Friday, November 27th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
