Just sitting here thinking about the good ole days when me and my dad would go hunting and fishing and missing him something fierce. All i have left is the memories of me and dad spending time together. He was a very smart man and could answer just about any question one might have, and i miss being able to get his advice and just wishing he was here so i could talk to him once again. I know one day i will see him again but that doesn't take the hurt and pain away from someone you love and miss. He was the greatest and i think about him every day. I know and can feel his presence cause it surrounds me. I love and miss you dad and hope you are reeling them in cause i am down here. I had to watch my dad pass on and that was very hard to do because i could not help him but know he is no longer suffering and that puts my heart at ease. He's been gone for three months and it doesn't get any easier for me because i enjoyed doing thingsfor him. Dad i just want to tell you your son derek miss u

Derek and I spent a lot of time with his Dad.We are thankful that we did.We enjoyed our time with him.He never wanted us to leave. Made our hearts ,sad. When we did.We became very close to him. I grew to love him.And I called him Dad.We are already lost without him. The days are suppose to get easier. But seem to be getting harder. As our hearts feel empty.Without Dad here. WE LOVE YOU DAD!!!!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Lloyd was in the Boy scouts with Phillip, then worked with him later. He said he was always a good person and a gentleman. He remembered that he liked to fish, and also remembers the car that his Dad bought him.

I'm so sorry for the loss of Uncle Phil. He has always been Uncle Phil to me. The main thing I remember about him, is his kindness. I've always remembered him as a big teddy bear:) It's been years since I've seen him, but his picture is just as I remember him. We'll be keeping the family in our prayers.
Love you

Phillip was my dad. As far as dads go, he was probably a typical American father. He wasn't perfect, but nobody is perfect. He was there for me and my brothers when we were young. He shared his ideals, values and philosophy of life with us in practical ways. One of these values was his love of nature. He instilled in us that same love, just as his parents had instilled this love in him.
As I've gotten older, I realize what is important in life is our ability to see past our grievances with others and embrace what is good. At his core being, Dad was a good man. He was a simple man who enjoyed simple pleasures, and he was good in a measurable way. He took an interest in the welfare of others, never harmed anyone and gave as much of himself as he knew how. Provider, father, husband, brother - he was all of these things and much more.
He will be missed, but not forgotten.

My dad was the best dad a guy could ask for in this world. He taught me how to survive in this world with a gun and a fishing pole and how to build house,s and remodel them. He taught me how to become a man. He had a big heart and was kind and caring and very smart. I know he's watching over me from heaven with his fishing pole in the water. I know i miss him very much and love him and am glad he is no longer in pain.love you dad your son Derek

Derek and Kyle: Your dad and grandpa, Phil was a gentle bear of a man. Kindness showed in his face and when he played his guitar the emotions that he seldom showed came thru in his music. I have great memories of working with him in construction for our father in law, Lloyd Craig. He taught me the "fine art" of ice-fishing. Jan and I loved Phil and he will not be forgotten as long as we are alive. God bless you and strengthen you as you give him to God and please keep your dad/grandpa's legacy alive in your life.
